Dosha Nivaran — an honest audit of what your chart actually shows.

दोष विश्लेषण व निवारण

Doshas are the most misunderstood concept in astrology. Most people are told they have Mangal Dosha or Kaal Sarp Dosha and sent away in fear. We do the opposite — we audit which doshas are truly present, grade severity honestly, check classical cancellation conditions, and build a structured remedy plan that actually addresses the root.

UNDERSTANDING DOSHAS

What is a Vedic dosha?

The word means "fault" — but in jyotish, a dosha is not a curse. It is a planetary configuration that creates friction in a specific life-area.

In classical Vedic astrology, a dosha is a recognised configuration in a kundali where a planet or set of planets creates inauspicious tension in a particular house or life-area. Mars in the 7th house can cause friction in marriage. Saturn's transit over the Moon creates Sade Sati — a 7.5-year period of testing. The Sun and Moon flanked by Rahu and Ketu form Kaal Sarp Yoga, indicating karmic obstacles.

What is widely misunderstood is that doshas are not absolute verdicts. Classical texts — Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Phaladeepika, Saravali — list dozens of cancellation conditions under which a dosha is reduced, suspended, or fully nullified. A "Manglik" person whose Mars is exalted, or whose chart has counter-aspects, may not experience Mangal dosha's effects at all. Sade Sati can be a period of consolidation rather than suffering when Saturn is well-placed. Kaal Sarp Dosha varies hugely in severity based on which axis and which houses.

The astrology industry has unfortunately reduced doshas to fear-products — quick labels used to sell expensive remedies. We refuse this approach. Every dosha audit we deliver does three things: identifies which doshas are actually present, checks every classical cancellation rule that applies to your chart, and grades severity honestly. Mild, moderate, or strong — with reasoning. Then we recommend remedies only where the dosha is genuinely active.

The goal is not to scare. It is to see clearly, then to act practically. Most clients leave their dosha audit relieved — because either the dosha doesn't apply, or it can be effectively remediated, or the timing of its activation is far in the future and there is plenty of room to prepare.

HOW WE GRADE

Severity — mild, moderate, or strong

Not all doshas are equal. The same Mangal Dosha can be barely felt in one chart and life-shaping in another. Our audit grades each dosha honestly so you know exactly where you stand.

I

Mild

The dosha is technically present but largely cancelled by other placements in your chart. Effects are subtle and rarely require intensive remedies. Awareness and simple lifestyle adjustments are usually sufficient.

MINIMAL INTERVENTION
II

Moderate

The dosha is partially active. Effects show up during specific dasha or transit periods. Structured remedies — mantra, yantra, or targeted puja during activation windows — bring meaningful relief.

FOCUSED REMEDIES
III

Strong

The dosha is fully active and likely to manifest distinctly in the corresponding life-area. A comprehensive remedy plan — combining mantra, yantra, puja and possibly gemstone — is recommended, with follow-up review.

COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
CLASSICAL DOSHAS

The doshas we audit in every report

Each of these is checked in your chart — present or absent, severity graded, classical exceptions reviewed, remedies prescribed only where the dosha is genuinely active.

DOSHA · 01

Mangal Dosha

मंगल दोष · Kuja Dosha

Created when Mars is placed in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house from the lagna, moon or Venus. Traditionally associated with friction in marriage, but classical exceptions are numerous.

OFTEN INDICATES

Delays in marriage, strong-willed temperament, possible discord in marital life — but only when dosha is uncancelled and strongly placed.

  • Mars's dignity, exaltation or debilitation
  • Aspects from Jupiter or other benefics
  • Whether mutual Manglik status cancels it
  • Mars's house from Moon and Venus
  • Age and chart of the prospective partner
DOSHA · 02

Kaal Sarp Dosha

काल सर्प दोष

Formed when all seven planets are positioned between Rahu and Ketu in the kundali. Twelve named types exist depending on which axis the Rahu-Ketu fall along. Severity varies significantly by type.

OFTEN INDICATES

Karmic obstacles, repeated patterns of struggle, late success — but the specific area depends entirely on which Kaal Sarp type is present.

  • Type of Kaal Sarp (Anant, Kulik, Vasuki, etc.)
  • Whether the dosha is partial or complete
  • Activation period through Rahu/Ketu dashas
  • Whether benefics break the cycle
  • Strength of the lagna lord
DOSHA · 03

Sade Sati & Dhaiya

साढ़ेसाती व ढय्या

Sade Sati is Saturn's 7.5-year transit over your moon sign (and the signs immediately before and after). Dhaiya is the 2.5-year transit over the 4th and 8th houses from moon. Both are testing periods, not punishments.

OFTEN INDICATES

Hard work without immediate reward, responsibility, slow but lasting growth, sometimes health or family pressures — varies enormously by Saturn's placement in your chart.

  • Which phase of Sade Sati (rising, peak, setting)
  • Saturn's natal placement and dignity
  • Whether Saturn is benefic for your lagna
  • Timing of activation and emergence
  • Mitigating yogas in the chart
DOSHA · 04

Pitru Dosha

पितृ दोष · Ancestral Karma

Created by afflicted placement of the Sun, especially with Rahu, or by Sun in the 9th house with malefic influence. Considered a sign of unresolved ancestral karma or incomplete pitru tarpan in lineage.

OFTEN INDICATES

Obstacles in fatherly relationships, delays in childbirth, repeated failures despite effort, unexplained obstacles in life — when truly active.

  • Sun's placement and conjunctions
  • 9th house and 9th lord condition
  • Presence of Rahu-Sun combination
  • Strength of jupiter (pitru karaka)
  • Whether ancestral rituals are followed
DOSHA · 05

Nadi Dosha

नाड़ी दोष

Found in matchmaking when both partners share the same Nadi (Adi, Madhya or Antya), based on birth nakshatra. Traditionally indicates potential issues with progeny or health of the couple.

OFTEN INDICATES

Potential health concerns in marriage, genetic incompatibility, possible difficulty in conception — but classical exceptions can fully cancel the dosha.

  • Specific nakshatras of both partners
  • Whether nakshatras are in same pada
  • Rashi compatibility despite same Nadi
  • Whether classical exceptions apply
  • Remedy options if dosha is active
DOSHA · 06

Guru Chandal Yoga

गुरु चांडाल योग

Conjunction of Jupiter (Guru) with Rahu or Ketu in the same house. Considered a mixed yoga — corrupts the natural benefic qualities of Jupiter and creates conflicts in dharma, ethics, and judgment.

OFTEN INDICATES

Unconventional thinking, possible loss of direction, conflict between traditional and modern values, sometimes guru-related disappointments — but also unique wisdom in some charts.

  • Which house the conjunction occurs in
  • Jupiter's dignity in that sign
  • Whether Rahu or Ketu is the partner
  • Aspects from other planets
  • Activation through Jupiter or Rahu/Ketu dasha
DOSHA · 07

Grahan Dosha

ग्रहण दोष · Eclipse Dosha

Formed when the Sun or Moon is conjunct with Rahu or Ketu in the natal chart. Creates a "natal eclipse" effect, often pointing to specific life areas needing extra care.

OFTEN INDICATES

Confusion in identity (Sun-Rahu), emotional disturbances (Moon-Rahu/Ketu), possible eye issues, mind-fog during eclipse transit triggers.

  • Which luminary is afflicted
  • Which node (Rahu or Ketu) is involved
  • House and sign of the conjunction
  • Degree-wise tightness of the conjunction
  • Transit triggers and timing
DOSHA · 08

Angarak Yoga

अंगारक योग

Conjunction of Mars and Rahu — a fiery combination considered one of the more challenging yogas. Creates aggression, accidents-proneness, and sudden conflicts when active.

OFTEN INDICATES

Quick temper, accident risk, sudden conflicts, property disputes, sometimes brilliant courage in difficult situations — depending on placement.

  • House of the conjunction
  • Sign and dignity of Mars
  • Aspects from Jupiter or benefics
  • Activation during Mars-Rahu dashas
  • Severity in current life phase
THE REMEDY APPROACH

Remedies that actually work

When a dosha is genuinely active, classical Vedic tradition offers four layers of remedy. We use the layer most appropriate to your chart and the dosha's severity — never all four mechanically.

मं
Mantra
मंत्र साधना

Beej mantra or full mantra for the afflicting planet — recited daily for prescribed counts over set durations.

यं
Yantra
यंत्र स्थापना

Sacred geometric diagram representing the deity that governs the troubled planet — energised and installed at home.

पू
Puja & Havan
पूजा व हवन

Specific ritual worship — Rudrabhishek for Saturn, Kaal Sarp puja, Mangal shanti, Pitru tarpan — timed to nakshatras or amavasya.

दा
Daan & Vrat
दान व व्रत

Charity (daan) and fasting (vrat) prescribed by day — black sesame on Saturdays for Saturn, red items on Tuesdays for Mars.

COMMON QUESTIONS

About dosha analysis

Almost certainly not. Classical texts list more than a dozen conditions under which Mangal dosha is cancelled or reduced — Mars's placement in certain houses or signs, aspects from benefic planets, the age of marriage, mutual Manglik status of both partners, and several others. Many "Manglik" charts have the dosha fully cancelled. A complete audit is the right first step.

A dosha cannot be removed in the sense that the planetary placement changes — that is fixed at birth. But the effects can be substantially neutralised through structured remedies done with sincerity over time. For some doshas, classical exceptions mean the dosha was never truly active in the first place. The goal is reduction of disturbance, not elimination of the configuration.

Most classical remedies are prescribed for 40 to 90 days of consistent practice. Mantra japa typically over 11, 21 or 40 mandalas (cycles). Pujas may be one-time or annual on specific nakshatras. Lasting effects usually become noticeable after one full cycle of the dosha's activation period — which varies from dosha to dosha.

Our audit recommends what your chart genuinely needs. We do not sell gemstones, yantras or pujas — we only guide. You may obtain authentic items from your trusted source. Many remedies (mantra, vrat, daan, lifestyle adjustments) cost very little or nothing at all.

It happens — many charts have two or three doshas listed by software. Often, several are mild or cancelled. Our audit gives you a clear hierarchy: which doshas matter most, which can be addressed simultaneously, and which can be safely deprioritised. You will not be handed a frightening list — you will get a practical plan.

No. Sade Sati is a 7.5-year period of testing and consolidation under Saturn's transit. For charts where Saturn is well-placed or functions as a benefic, Sade Sati can bring significant growth, responsibility, recognition and long-term gains. The "bad" reputation comes from cases where Saturn is afflicted at birth. The audit will tell you which case applies to your chart.

Stop guessing. Start knowing.

Whether you've been told you have a dosha and want a second honest opinion, or you've never had a proper audit and want clarity once — a complete dosha review can replace years of fear with a clear, practical plan.
